The Healing Powers of Reiki

Reiki is a form of treatment that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, enhances our intuition and unearths our emotions by unifying the mind, body and spirit.

This enables us to connect more deeply with our selves physically, mentally, emotionally and even spiritually.

During a state of deep relaxation or meditation, brain waves are in their alpha state. When both practitioner and receiver come to this point, brain waves become synchronize and the practitioner is made more aware as to the “energetic flow” of the receiver. Energetic flow merely consists of all movement in the body, be it blood, lymph, cranio-sacral fluid, neural stimulation, etc… Practitioners move their hands over the body, sometimes hovering or gently placing their hands over a specific area to identify areas of strain, weakness or emotional unrest.

Many practitioners utilize the chakra system to highlight imbalances or obstruction in this flow of energy. There are 7 chakras that run the length of the body, each chakra corresponding with different mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects. The goal is to create an unobstructed flow of energy within the body in order to balance and align these chakras.

If you are looking for a deeper understanding of self, a way to connect more fully to your mind-body-spirit, if you are struggling emotionally or are at a turning point in your life and are searching to find your own answers, then reiki is for you.

The Garden offers Reiki as a singular treatment or as part of an acupuncture session. Please contact me if you have any questions or wish to book an appointment for yourself, a friend or a loved one as a special gift.
