With characteristics like productivity, efficiency, organization and strategic planning… Coupled with, dare we say it, (GASP) perfectionist tendencies, Virgo energy can get an undeserved rap for being (YAWN) boring, dull and frankly, (YIKES) a hell of alot of work.
If the idea of hunkering down into any of these vibes leaves you feeling sweaty and anxious, you are not alone!
It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed, stressed-out and disorganized jumping into fall – there’s the end of summer vacations, returns to work, the back to school rush, kids activities and wintertime preparations, to name only a few.
PHEW!
Just SAYIN’ it I feel exhausted! We all know these things don’t just magically happen overnight – they take massive amounts of time, energy and planning to come together. This is where Virgo’s stabilizing energy can be a Universal lifeline when harnessed and directed with some conscious intention and a healthy dose of self-compassion.
The secret power of the Virgo season is the ability to lean into the balance of her earthy energy, and let yourself be drawn into the calmness and self-assured nature of all the groundedness she provides.
After the ease and flow of the last few months, we can sometimes forget how comforting it is to be more deeply rooted into our homes, our families, our passions, our work and even our relationships, as we begin to feel more steady and anchored.
With the dog days of summer now upon us, and we prepare to lean back into the structure that fall so warmly bestows on us – a little groundedness can feel reassuring and heartwarming.
The trick is to not let Virgo’s strong urge to create a false ideal of “perfection” get in the way of living our (HONESTLY) sometimes chaotic, sometimes messy, sometimes downright emotional lives.
Adapt as you have to and reassure yourself that you are doing the best you can with the resources you have available to yourself.
Plan (and pre-plan) as best you can, try and implement structure to create a better, more organized flow for yourself and your family, but don’t go crazy or be too hard on yourself or others. In our honest thinking, we ALL know that adding fuel to the fire only creates a build-up of pressure – and that’s no good for no one, imma right?!

My focus is supporting individuals in growing self-acceptance, compassion, and confidence, which ultimately lead to personal empowerment. Through a holistic psychology, mindfulness, and body-aware approach, I support you in experimenting with creating the life you desire, one choice at a time. Within the collaborative therapeutic relationship, I honor your internal wisdom and creativity, which are central in guiding your self-discovery and healing.
I love helping people discover and step into their authentic selves. We work as a team to help you transform behaviors, thoughts, and beliefs that limit you. I can help you learn how to set healthy boundaries, learn how to say yes or no while remaining connected to yourself, and learn how to speak up for yourself while honoring your relationships with others.
The ultimate goal of this kind of therapy is the discovery of the possible, the transformation of limiting self-imposed beliefs, and the empowerment which results from new freedom and new options.
